CUSTOMER AGREEMENT
Customer Terms
These terms explain how Ask4Ride works, when a ride becomes confirmed and the responsibilities of customers and licensed taxi/private-hire operators.
Version 28 ยท 18 August 20261. About Ask4Ride
Ask4Ride Ltd operates a digital booking and quote platform. Customers can submit journey requests and eligible licensed taxi/private-hire operators can submit fares. The transport service is provided by the licensed operator/driver assigned to the booking.
2. Request, quote and confirmation
- Submitting a journey creates a ride request; it is not yet a confirmed booking.
- An eligible operator may submit a fare. Quotes normally expire after the period shown in the app.
- A booking becomes confirmed only when a fare is accepted and the platform records the assigned operator/vehicle.
- Keep the booking reference for support, complaints and safety reporting.
- If you select Return, the request includes the outward journey and the return date/time shown in the booking. Unless the quote says otherwise, operators are asked to quote one total fare for the complete outward-and-return booking.
3. Fares and payment
The accepted fare and any separately stated service/booking charge must be shown before payment. Cash payments are paid to the driver where that option is offered. Card payments are handled by the configured payment provider; Ask4Ride does not store full card details.
4. Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup, destination, passenger and accessibility information, including the requested return date/time where a return journey is selected.
- Be at the agreed pickup point at the agreed time.
- Use the platform lawfully and treat drivers and staff respectfully.
- Do not misuse safety reporting, messaging or cancellation controls.
5. Driver and vehicle information
After confirmation, Ask4Ride may display the assigned driver/operator name, vehicle registration and other relevant information. Customers should check these details before entering the vehicle.
6. Cancellation
The Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms. Once the driver has marked arrival, in-app cancellation is restricted to serious reasons and may be reviewed. Once the passenger journey is in progress, use support or emergency procedures rather than attempting a normal cancellation.
7. Safety, complaints and messages
Ride messages are linked to a booking. Authorised Ask4Ride staff may review messages where necessary for safety, complaints, support, fraud prevention or legal/licensing obligations. Formal complaints can be submitted from the customer account.
8. Availability and interruptions
Ask4Ride does not guarantee that an operator will quote for every request. Services can be restricted for maintenance, safety, licensing, fraud-prevention or legal reasons.
9. Accounts
Keep your password and verification codes private. We may suspend accounts used fraudulently, abusively or in breach of these terms. Password-reset and security controls are provided through verified contact details.
10. Data and records
Booking, driver, vehicle, payment, message and safety records are handled as described in our Privacy Notice and may be retained where required for licensing, safety, legal, tax, accounting or dispute purposes.
11. Contact
For support or formal correspondence use the details on our Contact page.
